Rally Monkey

Headed out to the Angels game last night. It was a warm night in the OC & the game was a slow boring game with not much action on the field, so after the Rally Monkey came out I found this cutie playing with the monkey.

 

Website Changes

Hello all
I just wanted to let you know that my domain is going through a massive overhaul. I am excited about the new opportunities that I have with my host server & what fun designs I can use to show off my photos & possibly some new features to my website.

I finally got back into some inspiration again this weekend. Heard about a butterfly Exhibit at the LA Natural History Museum, so camera gear was readied & away I went. The museum in itself is a great visit, the gems & minerals are gorgeous, unfortunately the lighting is dim so no photos were taken this time. The African & North American Animal dioramas are great. But, my goal for the day was butterfly chasing! The final stop was the Pavillion of Wings set up just outside the museum building and that's exactly where I went. This exhibit is not as good as others that I have been in, but I still managed a few keeper shots. Without further adieu, here are a few of my favorite shots from the day. USS Green Bay Commissioning

On January 24th I was fortunate enough to attend the commissioning of the USS Green Bay in Long Beach CA. This was the first time in many years since a ship had been commissioned in Long Beach CA.
2 Cobra helicopters came in for a fly by during the Commissioning which was an awesome sight.

And yes, there is a drastic change in cloud cover from the direction they came in from to the direction they left to. Off to the north the clouds were dark & almost ominous while to the southwest the clouds were clearing off to a very nice day.

This is the first view I could get of the ship without a ton of people around
